- Holy occurs 92 times in Leviticus & Atonement occurs 51 times

- Leviticus answer the questions how can a holy God dwell with an unholy people… and how can an unholy people be AT-ONE-MENT with a holy God?
- Leviticus 1-7, Describes our need for sacrifices to worship God
- Leviticus 8-10, teach us that we need priests to intercede on our behalf
- Leviticus 11-15, how to deal with impurities of the world and in our lives
- Leviticus 16, teaches us we need ATONEMENT
- Leviticus 17-27, we need to be holy so that we can be in relationship with God
- We have already encountered HOLY THINGS in Genesis and Exodus
- Genesis 2:3, the 7th day is holy… why… God made it holy
- Exodus 3:5, the ground is holy… why… God made it holy
- Tablernacle, the utensils, the furniture was holy… why… God made it holy
- Three Messages in Leviticus
- 1.) God is Holy
- 2.) As His People, YOU MUST BE HOLY (Leviticus 11:44-45, 19:2, 20:7)
- 3.) GOD MAKES YOU HOLY (20:8, 21:8, 22:9, 22:16, 22:31-33)
