About Us
Who We Are
We are a group of CHRISTIANS in the Manchester area, knit together in the love of Jesus Christ (Acts 11:26; Colossians 2:2).
We are DISCIPLES of Jesus Christ, eager to share the saving message of the gospel (Romans 1:16).
We are a FAMILY of believers who come together to worship: united, not by blood – but by faith in Jesus Christ and mutual fellowship with Him (Ephesians 2:19, Hebrews 2:11). We assemble together to help, teach, edify, and encourage one another in our service and worship of our Creator.
We BELONG to Christ. We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. We believe that Christ died for our sins, that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Saved by grace, we humbly devote our lives to Him (I Corinthians 15:3-4)
What We Do
We teach everyone simply to observe and do whatever Jesus Christ commands. We recognize Him as our Lord and King, and, therefore, we submit to Jesus’ wisdom and authority in all matters. Because we find His promises, commands, and examples solely in the Word, we simply teach the Bible – nothing more and nothing less.
We make disciples of all peoples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our desire is to assist everyone we meet in becoming followers of Jesus Christ. We are trying our best to be more and more like Him, and we are genuinely thrilled when others come into our assembly to learn more about our Lord. If you visit as our guest, we will not solicit your money or pressure you in any way. We welcome your questions and offer private Bible studies if you share with us a desire to know God and His will more fully.
We assemble to worship God and to consider one another in order to stir up love and good works. We praise God in song and in prayer. Each Sunday we remember the death of Jesus by partaking of the Bread and the Cup (Lord’s Supper) that He instructed us to share with Him. Members give an offering to support the continued work of spreading the gospel and to help Christians in need. We study the Bible so that it can transform our lives and make us more useful servants. Whatever we do, we want it to be for the glory of God.
Come and Visit
We’d like nothing more than to share the love of Christ with you. When you visit you will find ordinary men and women from all different backgrounds and all walks of life who truly love and care for one another. While different in many ways, we all share a common love for Christ and His word.
Because His word is our only guide, everything that we believe, teach, and practice can be found in the Holy Scriptures. We don’t claim to be perfect, but we’re doing our best to honor the perfect one—Jesus--who died for us! Please visit us this Sunday or feel free to reach out and let us know if there’s something we can do to help you in your spiritual walk.
